Title: Angels - Nationals Trade
Post by: Sully31 on July 31, 2025, 10:45:45 AM

Angels trade

SS Denzer Guzman PC
2026 Rd 11
2026 Rd 12
2026 Rd 13
2026 Rd 14
2026 Rd 15

Nationals trade

P Cal Quantrill 5.2M (FA 2027)

Angels do this trade to add a pitcher who?s getting innings to help make a run this postseason. Angels feel like they got a punchers chance and this helps. Not sure his 5.2M next year is good value as he?ll be a FA this offseason in real life and not sure he?ll get another rotation job after 3 years of 5 ERA but I?m hoping he can finish strong enough to be at the end of someone?s rotation or at least get a majors contract. Not giving up too much prospect/draft capital so worth the risk to me

Thanks to nationals for fair back and forth

Agree with the principles of the trade statedby @LosAngelesAngels.  Cal Quantrill has long been an enigma.  Opportunity to move him presented to move him and get much needed draft picks.  Quantril was not going to be a piece on Nationals going forward.

Thank you LAA helping me through my first trade in AFL.  Good luck to both.
