Title: Angels/Dodgers trade
Post by: Sully31 on July 24, 2025, 10:20:02 AM
Angels trade

LF Austin Hays 700K           2027 FA
RP Danny Coloumbe 700k   2026 FA
RP Ryne Stanek 700k         2026 FA
2026 7th rd pick

Dodgers trade

P Noble Meyer PC
P Jackson Baumeister PC
P Grant Shepardson PC

*mods/commish please note that there are some errors on the spreadsheet with Hays/Stanek that need to be rectified regardless of this trade. I believe it should be as noted below but feel free to say so if you disagree or I got something wrong.

Stanek should be on the majors min 700k not 0.1M as currently shows?I believe that?s not even legal? He was signed by me last offseason to a vet minors deal then called up and had previously used up all his arb years so FA after this year is correct.

We had to do some digging as part of this trade but Hays should be listed as above not arb1. He had previously used up his first 4 arb years (dodgers have screenshot of old spreadsheet) before I signed him last offseason for vet minors deal then called him up. So my understanding is he should be on 700k (min 40man salary) and next year controlled via arb6

Dodgers to confirm

As far as Angels side of this, Angels approve. LF is a position of strength and can afford to give one up. RP not so much but that was the cost of business to get a few young high school arms that have had mixed results/health so far. Hopefully I hit on one or two of them.

*I edited the post to add the 7th round pick. I originally forgot to include it when making the post but we had agreed to it in original negotiations. Sorry dodgers and thanks for understanding haha

Dodgers approved.
Hays is ARB 5 25 700k   26 ARB 6 (4m which will be picked up)
He is in no way anymore than a luxury pick up.  We have plenty of OF options but figured a quality bat for prospects couldn't hurt.   Our bullpen has been destroyed by injuries and we are working to stave off the rest of the NL and figure out how to beat the Tigers.   We REALLY like Meyer and Baumeister but you have to give something to get something
