Title: Angels/Marlins Trade
Post by: Sully31 on July 23, 2025, 12:05:13 PM

Angels trade

1B Pete Alonso (arb6) 20.5M

Marlins trade

3B Alec Bohm (arb4) 8.1M
P Bryce Meccage PC
2026 1st rd pick
2026 3rd rd pick (CLE)

Angels approve. Have a glut of 1B and starting next year wouldn?t have any backup 3B and this solves that. Never nice giving up the best player in the deal but happy to pick up some solid picks and a spec I like for the downgrade from Alonso to Bohm

Thanks to Marlins for the fair negotiations back and forth

Marlins agree. I've been wanting Alonso for a while to lock down my 1B position. I'll extend him and lock him up long term.
