Title: Trade: Brewers/Cubs - 6/29/25 9:31AM
Post by: Brent on June 29, 2025, 07:53:16 AM

The Brewers and Cubs have agreed on the following trade.  The Cubs do this to acquire Cruz who will bring a little more juice to my lineup with his power/speed profile.  Harris is a good young OF on a wonderful contract so it's not easy giving him up and it's always difficult giving up good SP specs, but that's the price for Cruz.  Thanks for the negotiations, Brewers to confirm.

Cubs trade:
OF Michael Harris Jr., P-2030, $0.5M $4.0M $4.0M $4.0M $4.0M $4.0M
SP Joey Broughton, spec

for

Brewers trade:
MI/OF Oneil Cruz, P-2025

The Brewers confirm the trade to the Cubs. I view it as a trade of good young OFs plus I receive a SP prospect in return. I think this trade will work out well for both teams. Thanks Cubbies.
