Title: Brewers - D'Backs Trade
Post by: NippyJones on March 22, 2025, 09:52:28 AM

Brewers - D'Backs Trade

The Brewers trade the following:

SP Cole Ragans ($19.2M - 2029)
SP Jack Flaherty ($17M - 2029)
C William Contreras ($2.49M - Arb 1)
3B/OF Addison Barger ($2M - 2028)

The D'Backs trade the following:

SS Bobby Witt Jr. ($50M - 2029)
C Gabriel Moreno (0.80M - Pre Arb)
2026 Draft Picks in Round 1 and 2
2027 Draft Pick Round 2

I am making this deal to acquire probably the best young SS in the league which is a position of great need for me. I am giving up two quality SP which I feel I have sufficient depth and you have to give up quality in order to get the same on return.
