@cloud91

We need some input from you on this transaction for buy out purposes.

Bauer's buy out looks like this:

2025 - $3m x 90% = $2.7m
2026 - $3m x 60% = $1.8m
Total = $4.5m x 1.1 (10% tax) = $4.95m rounded up to $5m

At the time of this post, you currently have $2m in cap space.  Considering the buy out must be at least $2.5m in 2025 to comply with the rule that a buy out amount does not increase from one year to the next, you currently do not have the cap space to facilitate this buy out.  Additional moves will need to be made to accommodate this request.

Buy out rules found here:
https://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php/topic,239514.0.html

I will hold on Mastrobuoni as well, until you decide how to proceed.

Hello, thanks for reaching out. but honestly im a little confused by this... Remember this is a Buy-out that means it will make me open a cap space not increase a cap hit.
so if i have 2m cap space now right and i buyout Bauer with 3m so i will have open up a 3m cap because i release/buyout him that means my 2m cap + 3m = 5m, i will now have 5m in cap space BUT the penalty applies for this year and this is the 2025:
2025 - $3m x 90% = $2.7m
2026 - $3m x 60% = $1.8m

my cap change to 5m - 2.7m = 2.3m, so from 2m i gain a 0.3m from the buyout. also the reason of buying out player is to open some cap space.

but still talk to other admins about this, you can quote this reply to them.

thanks.

You are correct...my bad.  I was getting confused on which bucket these funds come out of and I wasn't accounting for the salary decrease.  Just getting used to the way these spreadsheets are set up...

I am confident in the cap calculation though...it's $5m and you can have it evenly spread across the remaining 2 years or have it frontloaded in 2025.  Your call on how to split it.
