Extensions are determined by highest Fantrax ranking of the two most recent seasons. If a player is eligible for multiple positions we will go off the position that was played in the most amount of games for the extension.

I am curious how you put this together, since it doesn't seem based on real life contracts.

Its based on the actual MLB. Yeah the values may look different but the MLB salary cap before the luxary cap is more than out cap. We use 83% of the reflected actual MLB salary cap. Then he found the contracts and mlb and made that extensions to reflect 83% of the actual MLB contracts. The contracts may seem a little cheaper than MLB but if MLB had our salary cap it would almost match as these contracts are rounded to the place value of the millions. @rcankosy @TheLongHorn lmk if I messed up anywhere.

I would like to use RF Juan Soto, Mets and UT Shoehei Ohtani, Dodgers as examples. If I am understanding correctly, the calculations would be as follows:
Soto
51M X 83% = 42.33M = 42M
Ohtani
70M X 83% = 58.1M = 58M
The extension value for the # 1 RF is 30M, and I'm not sure what position you used for Ohtani.
