Reminder on FGM bidding:




The only thing that matters is the total $ amount.  Once the bid is won, the player is then given a contract.  The bid is $3m and it exceeds the $2 bid the Pirates, therefore Cleveland wins the bid.




@Brian  you need to issue a correct contract.


1yr @ 3m
2yrs @ 1.5m
If you wanted to go 3 yrs, you can do that also at 1.5m per year or 4.5m total.


Let's leave the Armchair style bidding out and just bid total $.
