Title: Trade: ARZ & CHC
Post by: TheProfessor on January 03, 2025, 09:02:25 PM

:ARZ: receives:
CI   Ralphy Velazquez   P-n/a    $ 0.5 (minors)
CI/OF    Addison Barger   P-2027    $ 0.5
MI    Jackson Holliday   P-2027    $ 0.5
MI   Tyson Lewis   P-n/a    $ 0.5
SP   Fernando Perez   P-n/a    $ 0.5
SP   Paul Skenes   P-2027    $ 0.5

:CHC: receives:
MI    Gunnar Henderson   2029    $ 12.0
OF    Michael Harris   P-2025    $ 0.5
SP    Jared Jones   P-2027    $ 0.5

Let's try this again...

Giving up Skenes hurts and I am a big believer in Holliday, but IMO Gunnar is the most valuable player in baseball. Harris helps fill a need in the OF, and Jones hopefully soaks up a few innings that I lose in dealing Skenes.

@MauriceAJR to confirm - thanks!

Arizona will confirm and hope it confirms! Pleasure again

Approved. There is enough young talent on both sides to make this a reasonable trade for both teams.

Chicago is bound and determined to trade Skenes, isn't he?
