Moneyball is designed to reflect the MLB's real-world market and payroll disparities by implementing league fees and team salary caps that are based on actual market sizes?to a degree... The disparity in real life has become extreme, so we've intentionally adjusted it to maintain balance. Additionally, we've introduced mechanisms that will allow team market values and salary caps to evolve over time, depending on league performance.
You can join as a small-market team with a lower buy-in and salary cap, and work your way up to success?or you can buy into a big-market team like the Yankees, where you can SPEND, SPEND, SPEND your way to victory!
