Boston is electing to use their New GM free drop on Nathan Eovaldi?s $16.6M contract $16.86M (2026)

To clarify, the "drop" is the contractual tie (cash exchange) to Eovaldi.

MIA (current owner of Eovaldi, the player) will be issued an equivalent credit from the league office that will stay with Eovalid for the length of his contract.
