O's GM stays busy in her first full day of service!

OF Quentin, Carlos $3.5m(2012)
X- Quentun contract $2.5m next 2 seasons(2010 & 2011)
OF Fowler, Dexter, $0.5m (P-2012)

CI Freese, David, $0.5m (P-n/a)
C Norris, Derek, $0.5m (P-n/a)
MI Valbuena, Luis, $0.5m (P-2012)
P Mota, Guillermo, $1m (2010)


I hate to see some of these names go, but my teams is hurting bad for a OF now have two good ones! One a vet and one to groom into the Indian uniform! Freese and Norris was guys I would love to see as Indians but times are tough, enjoy Baltimore, fellas.

Another team almost nabbed Fowler in the end, but this deal was a two-week process.  I had to get Freese... Norris is a top catching prospect, although very young.  I'll take the other guys as fill-ins for the current roster.

Looks like the O's sold on current production of Quentin and Fowler.  Norris is a good return, especially if Flores does not fully recover.  Freese is a decent prospect as well, playing in a good lineup.  Good enough.

I didn't sell based on their current production, but Quentin only had one good year.  This deal brings in more youth and a good replacement at the corners.  Plus, I am not sure what Fowler's future is in Colorado.

Fowler and Quentin are 2/3 of a good OF but C prospects are hard to come by. Couple that with Freese  and Villbuena and you have a fair trade. Approved
