:CIN: sends:

Max Fried $5.6M 2027

:CHC: sends:

SP Ryan Weathers $1M 2027

SP Kumar Rocker pna

SP Carlos Rodriguez pna

Reds make this move to do three things, get younger, save money, and shake down a division rival for assets. Big believer in Weathers and hope he maintains his pre injury form long term. Cubs to confirm, thanks @POWERHOUSE!

Also a believer in Weathers and Rocker for that matter. Fried is a perfect fit for the pitching staff. Pitching was lights out last year and looking to make it even better next year. Thanks @TheLongHorn
