RFA will start at 11am EST on 7/20, the FA will open immediately after RFA is over.
Please remind that, starting from this season, bidding will be done in the Fantrax Forum (the list of RFA has already been uploaded to it).
The rules of the auction remain the same as in previous seasons, the bids must be submitted in terms of total contract value. The only significant change is that the time it takes to win the player has been reduced from 48 hours to 24 hours. This means that you have to be the highest bidder for 24 hours to win the player.
Bidding in the Fantrax Forum is easy. In Fantrax, simply click on "Other" and then "League Forum". The RFA-related topics have been already created.
We have also opened a test auction on the Forum. I would ask each GM to try making a bid to start getting familiar with the system. The test auction where you can bid is titled 'Tim Duncan - auction test'.
Please note that you can also set up notifications on each topic if you want

For your convenience and to help you keep track of activity in the first few days after the FA opens, we plan to publish a daily report at around 1am EST summarizing all active bids.

The estimated annual salary is calculated on the maximum contract length for each bid but please remind that you can decide to sign the player for a lower number of years and, for Chris Paul for example, Blazers (assuming they will be the highest bidder for 24 hours and no counter-offers) can opt to sign him for only 1 year at 18m.
However if you sign a player for only 1 year, he will be automatically FA next season.
