Title: Rockies-Red Sox
Post by: TheLongHorn on June 22, 2024, 07:17:29 PM

:BOS: sends:

SP Matt Waldron pna
SP Parker Messick pc
SP Alejandro Rosario pc
SP Chase Dollander pc

To :COL: for:

SP Spencer Strider $6.5M (2028)

Boston makes this trade to get an ace, albeit an injured one. We?re more than willing to wait and have Strider be the face of our pitching staff. Colorado to confirm, thanks @Paul S.

Rockies confirm.  We make this trade to obtain a starting pitcher for the stretch drive and some  prospects for the future.  With 9 SPs on the IL (6 on the 60 day) we needed to make a move to salvage the season.  Thanks to the Red Sox for the trade.
