Marlins receive:
Brett Baty
George Klassen
Brett Wichrowski
Rockies receive:
Luis Rengifo
2024 3rd round pick
It was hard to trade a young player as productive and versatile as Rengifo, but I felt it was critical to add quality starting pitching prospects. Hopefully, Baty continues to develop into a serviceable starter at 3B.

Marlins receive:
Brett Baty 3B NYM P-2026
George Klassen prospect
Brett Wichrowski prospect
Rockies receive:
Luis Rengifo $2.2MM 2025
MIA 2025 3rd round pick
Rockies approve. I'm giving up quite a lot for Rengifo, but I really like his positional eligibility and his profile complements a lot of the other guys on my team especially on stolen bases. I'm sad to lose Klassen and Wichrowski, two of my favorite early-season pickups, but I need to make room for my upcoming draft picks and I'm content with my upper-minors pitching depth. Thanks for the dialogue and good luck Roy @rcankosy !
