Title: Rockies-Yankees trade
Post by: DaveW on May 05, 2024, 08:40:51 AM

Rockies trade:

Hayden Birdsong SP SFG prospect
Luis Suisbel 3B SEA prospect

Yankees trade:

Ryan Weathers SP MIA $0.5MM in 2024, $1.0MM 2025-2027

Rockies approve.  I recently traded away Ryne Nelson in another deal, so adding Weathers allows me to keep my starting rotation deep while some of my other SPs are on the IL.  Good luck @Braves155 !

Yankees accept and do this to add some re-tooling pieces as the team currently has key pitching on the IL. Birdsong is an intriguing arm for the Giants who we are high on and Suisbel adds a potential bat in a deep Mariners system.
