P Colin Rea $3.7 mil 2026
P Joe Jimenez $900k 2025

for

IF Carlos Sanchez - prospect
OF Colby Thomas - prospect
P Mitch Bratt - prospect

My recent transaction created three spots in my minors for them.

I do this trade to move useful pitching to get 3 prospects who I think can contribute down the line when my roster is more competitive.

Yankees ACCEPT doing this to bolster pitching corps with a starter & reliever on cheap contracts. Losing the prospects hurts, but this deal helps for this season & short-term future.
