Title: Rockies/Mets trade
Post by: DaveW on March 23, 2024, 09:06:25 PM

The Rockies and Mets have agreed on a trade:

Mets trade:
Brock Wilken 3B MIL prospect
Troy Melton SP DET prospect
Zach Showalter SP STL prospect

Rockies trade:
Tommy Pham OF FA $2.5MM 2025
Jonny Deluca CF/OF P-N/A
Picks 3-24, 4-7, 4-21, 4-25, 5-29 in 2024 draft

Rockies approve.  Due to other trades and callups Pham and Deluca are somewhat expendable.  I get three prospects I like, headlined by Wilken who I hope could be my 1B or 3B of the future.  Good luck @jschwab and thanks for the trade talks!

Mets confirm.

Pham will hopefully prove to be a valuable addition to our bench and we like DeLuca for the future after he is cleared to play again. Mostly we like the picks which we can use to bolster our future player base, or use to trade up in the draft.
