KC makes this trade to acquire prospects and more draft picks in a class that I am very high on. Lugo is on a one year deal so we can afford to eat his contract for this plethora of picks and prospects.

That guy was sitting on your spreadsheet. You can't trade a drafted player because they aren't even on your spreadsheet roster yet.
