Title: Rockies/Mets Trade
Post by: DaveW on January 17, 2024, 08:22:13 AM

Rockies trade:

CJ Cron 1B FA 1.1MM 2025

Mets trade:

Jeferson Quero C MIL prospect

Rockies approve.  Based on other recent trades Cron is expendable, so trading him for an up and coming catching prospect makes sense for my squad.  If Cron rediscovers his pre-2023 form I'll regret this, but I like Quero so I'll take the gamble.  Good luck @jschwab !

Mets confirm the trade.

The Mets continue to fill positions of need heading in to the free agency period, and 1B was a glaring need for us.

Good luck to @DaveW
