William Contreras 4.5MM 2027 (0.5MM in 2024) C MIL

Payton Martin SP LAD prospect
Rockies approve. Very happy to get Contreras as my long-term answer at catcher. Grissom feels like he's got the talent to be an above-average regular though anytime @Braves155 is willing to trade a Brave one should be skeptical. I'm also hopeful that Payton Martin will be this year's Dodgers player development miracle. The deal also clears some more cap space for me in advance of free agency. My guess is I'm selling low on Giolito but I've got enough SP depth to be comfortable making the move. Good luck Ben!

Yankees add some pitching depth and hope Giolito can have a better season than he did in 2023. Dealing Martin is tough, but the team has depth in the minors. Oliveras getting dealt to PITT should open up playing time for him to serve as a regular. Getting back Alvarez is nice as he has a nice makeup and could be a Braves prospect to take a big step forward with the bat this season. Heim is a solid replacement for Contreras.
