Title: Jays and Royals Strike Deal
Post by: kungfuwig on January 05, 2012, 10:11:39 PM

Royals send

SP Baker, Scott, $4m (2012)
CI Soto, Neftali, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Jays send

SP Hudson, Tim, $6m (2013)

Royals do this deal to make their rotation better and for an extra year. I was excited to see where Soto would go after his 31 HR season last year, but I really needed to bolster my pitching and have good CI locked up. Thanks for the easy negotiation Daniel.

Jays accept. Sad to part with Hudson, but with his large contract and ever-increasing age of my team I am really needing young specs and Soto is one I have high hopes for. Thanks for the easy negotiations as well!
