Title: Playoff Update: Divisional Series Week
Post by: ldsjayhawk on August 28, 2023, 10:10:01 AM
Divisional matchups have been set.  I expect we will have another exciting week of playoff baseball.

:CHW: @ :TB:
:MIN: @ :LAA:

:LAD: @ :COL:
:PHI: @ :MIL:

After the defending champions were ousted in the Wildcard round, we will not have back to back champions.  However, we could still have a 2nd time winner with two former champs still in the running.  Joining them are four other long time members of the league.  Additionally, two remaining teams have first year GMs at the helm.  Will we have a new champ?  Or will one our two former champs take home the trophy for and become our second two time winner?  Good luck to all!

Sorry for a lack of an update.  Flash was much better at this part than I.  This week heading into the eve of the last day, we have two close matchups and two that are wider apart.  The AL matchups have the distance with :CHW: & :MIN: good leads.  Could we have an all AL Central Championship Series?

:CHW: @ :TB: 1152 - 759
:MIN: @ :LAA: 1421 - 963

In the NL, we have two nailbiters.  Two veteran GMs are locked in a battle for one of the spots, while two rookie GMs are working to stay alive in the other game.  Quite the playoff matchups here.

:LAD: @ :COL: 853 - 847
:PHI: @ :MIL: 1031 - 1262
