Title: Rockets/Jazz Trade
Post by: Vik on June 26, 2023, 12:09:50 PM

Jazz Trade:

C Nikola Vucevic $25m Resign

Rockets Trade:

SG Alec Burks $800k 2024
PG Dennis Schroder $800k 2024
2025 1st :HOU-NBA:
2023 current 2nd round :HOU-NBA: (via :DET-NBA:)

In an ideal scenario I would have liked to keep Vucevic, but after acquiring Porzingis and up against cap it was next to impossible to keep everyone. This deals solidifies my direction, and gives me a few cheap role players and draft capital.

The Rockets agree and are glad to add a top ranked center. Vooch is a welcome addition that will hopefully help bolster the team. His age and salary are concerning though he should be an upgrade. It's upsetting though to part with the draft picks and the depth at guard will be missed.

@rotodojo how long do you want Vucevic extension? Can be extended up to 5 years
