Putting this up for vote. Should 1 year extensions automatically hit FA the following year?
This is something that I feel would make it more realistic as most players who take 1 year deals do it to cash in in FA the following year.

I vote no
Because teams can always extend a player they sign for one year during that year in real life. I've seen plenty one year guys get extended.
And......
I firmly believe that any player without a contract at the end of the year, regardless if signed one year or not should become a FA anyway.
In the two leagues I run, eliminating the off-season grace period has kept the FA pool healthy in that all expired contracts are free to sign with anyone. I believe that fixes this concern and saves the moderators extra work tracking the logistics of a one year deal.

As of today, anyone extended to 1 year deal will automatically hit FA the following off-season and not be eligible for an extension.
