Title: Rules for Int Players?

Maybe I just missed them, but I can't find any.  Are they just a part of the Free Agent class?

You are correct, just a part of FA class.

According to an issue in New Era (which is based on FGM), international free agents cannot be bid on until they actually sign with a team in real life....

so for example, if Darvish doesn't sign with the Rangers until 15 days after free agency starts, he cannot be bid on until the 15th day...this won't happen obviously, as Darvish will sign by mid January (the 30 day deadline in real life)...but this is how I understand it.

Yes we have addressed this in the past, most notably with Hechevarna (However you spell his name)...The player must be signed by a MLB team, and the source must be reputable.

Although I never really understood a great reason for this...it is the GM's risk, and international free agents are really no different than an MLB free agent by this league's standards...right?

Also true, but if you look at the posting process in general, a guy like Darvish couldn't be signed until his NPB accepted the bid, only then could the Rangers negotiate with him. Likewise, guys have to defect, get to a certain age etc...it's just simpler this way, stop rocking the boat...It's bad enough we have to scour the depths of A ball
