Title: Rays option several players to EDR
Post by: VolsRaysBucs on March 26, 2010, 04:18:00 PM: P Nick Barnese
P Jeremy Hellickson
P Jake McGee
P Matt Moore
P James Houser
MI Tim Beckham
MI Reid Brignac
C John Jaso
OF Desmond Jennings
OF Fernando Perez

These moves should effectively free up 5M for 2010 season, allowing the Rays to extend the contracts of a player or two.

Perez has major league ABs so he doesn't qualify for the EDR.

Thanks for letting me know that, I was going by the prospect contract criteria, so in this case I will also need to take Brignac off of the EDR as well. The other 8 players will still be placed on EDR please (whoever is in charge of that).

Sorry for the mix up fellas.
