Total fee of $1.5m. Will pay $0.7m 2023 and $0.8m 2024.

@Vik I think you have to pay either the $1.5m (buyout price) in 2023 or take a cap hit of 75% of $1.2m in 2023 ($0.9m) and 50% in 2024 ($0.6m). I don't think you can divide it any other way, so I don't think you can take a cap hit of $0.7m 2023 and $0.8m 2024 as that opens up the door for all kinds of buyout shenanigans. @Billy would have the final say on that though.

No problem, if this is case then I can go $0.9m 2023 and $0.6m 2024.
In additon I will release Lance Stephenson from IR (400k free drop). Need the extra the cap if I cannot do Griffin way originally posted.

Yeah if using buyout would need to be the entire amount of the fee in this season. Regular release would be the $0.9m and $0.6m
