Adding this player made my roster illegal for this period. Shouldn?t I have gotten a chance to release a player before the add?

A $,5 bid is an automatic placement on your reserve squad. You should have been aware and dropped a player prior to winning the bid

Well I?m relatively new and just assumed it would be like every other transaction I saw in this board the last 6 months. So a bid of 600k allows me to drop a player after a bid is won but 500k fit some reason has its own set of rules. I may be in the minority it that seems off.
