Title: Magic/Nets
Post by: Ben on May 19, 2022, 04:40:53 PM

Nets Receive:
2022 1st Rd Pick 1.25 Magic (Via Hawks)
2022 2nd Rd Pick 2.04 Magic (Via Kings Via Knicks)

Magic Receive:
Killian Hayes $5.9 (2024) 2025 RFA

ACCEPT

The Nets liked Killian Hayes but this move is about increasing upside on the team and maintaining a young core. The Draft might be front loaded, but some sleeper prospects will be there for at least 1.25 and the Nets are confident this is a good flip for Hayes.

Magic accept. We had 4 total picks going into this draft and this deal offloads some of those picks and brings in PG depth which is exactly what we need. Willing to take a "gamble" on Hayes.

Thanks for the easy trade talks!

best,
Alex
Magic GM
