Nets Receive:
(SF/WSH) Deni Avdija $4.1M (2024, 2025 RFA)
(PF-C/N.O.) Jaxson Hayes $5.7M (2023), $6M (2027)
2024 1st Rd Pick (ATL)
2024 2nd Rd Pick (ATL)
Hawks Receive:
(PF-C/MIL) Bobby Portis $6.5M (2024)
2023 1st (SAS)
2023 1st (OKC)
Nets are making this deal to get younger and make a play on he upside of the young Wizard Avdija. The Nets are excited to get him, and while think Hayes needs an NBA trade, are also glad for his upside and youth as a potential shot blocker. The deal costs the Nets 2023 1sts, but all the picks in the deal will be late, so it evens out. The loss of Portis, who is entering his prime will hurt, but also be mitigated by the gain in youth and contracts of Avdija/Hayes.
Good luck to the Hawks, and what a way to start a new era in Brooklyn!

Atlanta agree to this trade, We hate that we had to include Avdija to make this trade work but we?re hopeful that Isaiah Jackson and Trey Murphy III can fill those voids. The acquisition of Bobby Portis will certainly help with the boards and draft capital for future players. Thanks for the loooong negotiations Braves155 I hope the players help springboard your roster.
