Lots of risk on both sides of this deal...Chargers hoping that Cohen is healthy again for the 2022 season as well as hoping that Trubisky signs with the Giants and ends up the starter there, while also hoping that Singletary is the definitive starter in Buffalo and that the concern for Lockett's targets is actually the case. This deal could be great for both teams or awful for both teams honestly. At worst, I save myself some cap space to potentially spend in free agency. @jschwab to confirm. Deal Confirmed.
For me, Trubisky was a risk behind Wilson (whom I recently dealt) and I was more than willing to move him in the sign and trade. I think in the long run this helps the Bears as it fills a couple of positions of need with relatively young talent going forward, and picks are always good.
