2024 SAS 2nd
Pick top 50 protected

UTA gets:
Delon Wright (0.4m, 2023)
OKC pays 0.1m in 2022

1 more small deal to fill my current open 12th spot. Lacking 100k to sign a FA, so while not too high on him Wright will do. Most likely short term as I'll need spot once Nance returns, but don't trust his health and with protection on pick deal made sense.

I don't know if Wright would have stayed on my roster until FA ends since I have already dropped him once, so this moves him for (possibly) a pick.

This rule is going to be looked at in the off-season. Unless I am mistaken, the real life NBA does not allow teams to place protections on someone else's draft pick only the original team. I am 90% sure that the only thing that an NBA team can do with someone else's draft pick in a trade is place a swap rights on the pick.
