Title: Braves Off-season Block
Post by: jongaskins on October 17, 2009, 07:23:09 AM
Ok, please allow to let you guys know how I trade so I can be fair. If you send me a list of my players that you like I will do the same. We can both take off players that we don't like and work a deal from there. If I make an offer and it's not countered or an idea of where I need to improve the offer then negotiations are dead with me. I hate shooting in the dark or throwing darts hoping to hit. Having said that everyone on my team is available EXCEPT Jayson Heyward, Tommy Hanson and Jair Jurrjens. All others are available, I think you all know the hardest ones to get. Please PM/email with interest.

Braves, the Angels have an interest in the following players:

P Vazquez, Javier, $11.5m (2010)
MI Prado, Martin, $0.5m (P-2010)
P Hudson, Tim, $12m (2009)

Hey Jon, just read your e-mail right after I wrote my last post.  I prefer open trade negotiations on the forum, but if you would like to discuss trade talks through e-mail or PM's, that is also fine.  Of the players you have shown interest in, I would be willing to move:

OF Morgan, Nyjer, $0.5m (P-2010)
CI Smoak, Justin, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI Morales, Kendry, $1m (2010)

All three are very young and very talented (though Smoak is quite unproven, but has high hopes), so I would place them in line with how you perceive your young talent.  Let me know your thoughts.

Open negotiations are fine with me. It gives us both a chance to explain ourselves. I am in need of a solid CI, so I would like to see if we could focus a trade around Hudson/Prado for Morales/Smoak. Something along those lines. Your thoughts?

I'm ok with moving those two, but I will need a much bigger package for a multi eligible CI who was rated  #10 overall in our league's scoring  and a consensus top 10 prospect than just a 35 yr. old SP2/3 and a decent utility.  Let me know who else you will offer along with those two.  And please let me know Vasquez's worth.

There's a couple of ways we could go. I could of course add to the package already in place, or I could sub out Vazquez for Lowe. I think I would prefer that route rather than to add. I just know that I can get a pretty penny for Vazquez and like I told Colby, I have to maximize my trades if I am to rebuild.

Ok, now that I have a grasp of who I'll be keeping and who I'll be letting go I'm going to update. The players listed are ones that I would like to move. Again, get some PM's going and I'm sure we can work something out.

Casey Kotchman
Jazier Vazquez
Chipper Jones
Kelly Johnson
Rafael Soriano
Mike Gonzalez
Garrett Anderson
Derek Lowe
Kenshin Kawakami
Nate McLouth
Martin Prado
Jordan Schafer

Braves, the Angels still have an interest in the following players:

Javier Vasquez
Martin Prado
Nate McLouth

I'll PM you throughout the day (currently at work) for negotiations.  Still have an interest in N. Morgan and J. Smoak?

I'll send you a list of players that I like and we can go from there. I love to trade, especially when building a team so let's get the PM's going.

Would like to add Garrett Jones and Russell Martin or Ryan Doumit to the trade block.

I might have some interest in Doumit, what're you looking for?

Do you still have a list of the players I sent or shall I send another?

Looking to move one of either Doumit/Martin. Also looking to move Vazquez, possibly Garrett Jones. Will consider Schafer as well. Chipper Jones of course.

Ok, maybe I should reword this post.
Garrett Jones = 20th best ranked CI in 2009 could be had in the right deal. Yes, this was done in only half a season.
Casey Kotchman = 31 best ranked CI in 2009.
Javier Vazquez = 2 best rated pitcher in 2009 (Only behind Dan Haren) is also on the block.
Russell Martin = 12th best in 2008 and 15th best in 2009
Ryan Doumit = 9th best in 2008

Wow, I had more talent than I though. Willing to discuss others as well. I am in complete rebuilding mode so please ask accordingly.

Guys, I seemed to have lost most of my PM's when the site went down and have several PM's saved from those of you interested in my players. Please resend who you are interested in so that I may try and get something going again. Keep in mind I am in rebuilding mode.

Still around guys, just trying to make it through the Holidays. Still need to move some players for youth. I can take on salary if need be as long as I get the youth with it.

I am interested also in Prado if he is still available. I will review your roster along with mine to see where a fit may be.

Ok, I am almost moved in, but trying to be as active as I can while moving. I'm answering PM's as they come in. I'm pretty much open to dealing just about anyone except most of the kids. I am in rebuilding mode. Hanson/Heyward/Freeman/Alonso. These guys will stay, but I can move guys like Jurrjens, Martin, Doumit, Jones...people who can help this year, but please keep in mind that I am rebuilding so offer accordingly.
