Title: Trade between Ottawa and Pittsburgh
Post by: dickiedunn on November 26, 2011, 10:56:38 AM

The new Ottawa Senators management strike another deal. The rebuilding and youth movement takes us to steel town Pittsburgh, PA and we move a more experienced (and slightly pricier) Centre in Jason Spezza for ex-Flyers Captain Mike Richards.

C, Jason Spezza, $7.0m (2014-2015)
LW/RW, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, $4.1m (2012-2013)
D, Tyler Cuma, $0.2m (P-2012)

for

C, Mike Richards, $5.8m (2017-2018)
RW, Stanislav Galiev, $0.6 (2012-2013)
D, Tim Erixon, $2.3m (2013-2014)
D - Joseph Morrow, N/C, (0 Games)

We continue building for the future. Thank you for making trade #3 happen for this team, Jack Daniels!

Confirmed!  :iatp:

I make this trade to help my team improve this year and I like Spezza and the young team around him. I also love PMB's position flexibility.

Great dealing with you DD!

ottawa wins this trade now and in the future for picking up good prospects and shedding a couple of big salaries.
