Title: Braves GM
Post by: jongaskins on October 16, 2009, 06:01:23 PM

As long as there are no objections I would like to take on the job of managing and rebuilding the Braves franchise. I would like to apologize upfront and say that I am an active owner for 12 months out of the year instead of 11 and I look forward to really rebuilding this franchise. Please send messages with any interest at all in my players. There will only be a handful not going anywhere.

After a couple weeks of negotiations, I am happy to introduce Jon Gaskins as the new GM of the Braves!

I will be looking to move some good pieces for someone looking to contend. The only ones that I do not plan on moving are: Jair Jurrjens, Jason Hayward and Tommy Hanson. All others I am open to discussing. If I move McCann I will need a catcher in return.

The Pirates are interested in McCann and Kotchman.  Schafer and Escobar are of interest, but I doubt you are interested in trading prospects.

Colby, it looks like you're the only one with interest, or at least the only one sending PM's and emails. You may get some good players first of all.

Jonga, please set up a trade block post in the transactions forum and show a list of available players you're willing to move...I'd like to see who you have on the block.  :koolaid:
