Title: Flower Hawpes [TRADE]
Post by: bridgestone on March 19, 2010, 07:38:24 AM

Reds trade OF Hawpe, Brad, $6m (2011) for Cubs'  C Flowers, Tyler, $0.5m (P-n/a)

I am doing this to bring in another outfielder, so hopefully I can move Garko to CI.  I still have top catching prospect Tony Sanchez and plenty of money in the catchers' market right now.

Crap - didn't see this, Reds confirm.

Reds do this to get a young power hitting catcher. Hawpe was a very good player, but OF was something I had depth at. I was also trying to land Flowers from the multiple teams he has been on.

I edited the subject to include a Trade tag, so that the TC can better recognize this. :taco:
