New Orleans Pelicans trade Doug McDermott $7.3M (2021)
to New York Knicks for
New York Knicks 2nd Round Pick - 2022
New York Knicks 2nd Round Pick - 2023
Denver Nuggets 2nd Round Pick - 2022
New York makes this trade to add some depth as the upgrades to Drummond then Donovan Mitchell and injury to Caris LeVert have left us with little depth. We have plenty of salary space this year to sign McDermott. Odds are the picks won't be worth much so it isn't a big deal to trade them.

Pelicans confirm. I do this trade to acquire more draft capital as Doug McBuckets isn't doing anything to help my team and can help the Knicks who are a contender.
