Title: Bulls/Jazz Trade
Post by: Vik on November 20, 2020, 09:26:05 PM
Bulls Trade:

Thaddeus Young 13.9m 2022
-0.9m paid 2021 for even salary deal

Dennis Schroder 15.5m 2021
-15.5m fully paid this year

Jazz Trade:

Klay Thompson 30m 2024
-17m already paid 2021 by GS; I will pay additional 5m 2022, and 8m each of 2023/24

Unfortunately, Thompson having recent injury is tough news. I do think and hope he overcomes this too so he can return and produce eventually, but at this point would not help with my run this year. Had a couple offers but prefer this packagw and hoping Schroder continues his sucess in LA.

I accept. Take a big $30m risk on Thompson, but Schroder and Young have no future on my team. Worth the risk at this price

Because I respect the GMs involved...

But the value that was given up for Thompson initially was too much and this value imo is too much.

Curry & Thompson & Green were all great for over a 5 year dynastic run. People are voting and assessing these players off of what they've done. Not what they are going to do.

It will be 2 1/2 yrs total between NBA games for Klay at over 30 years old. The end is near.

This is what happens when you veto others trades and base it off your perceived notion of value. 2 weeks ago had you known the future no way you make the trade for Klay to begin with.

Lucky that Anthony is bailing you out. Imo Klay is worthless at the moment.

I tried to make a similar trade in a football League (again vetoed) because the guy I was trading was on IR and the old ass RB I was getting back was healthy.

Y'all can't be consistent.

I have to agree with Daddy. You are extremely lucky to be getting anything back for Klay now. I appreciate what that trade has done for me.
