The Pelicans and Spurs agree on the following trade.  The Pels do this to get a young player they are high on even though he's still raw and developing.  He will fit into the Pels build plan.  Spurs to confirm.

Spurs agree.
We think a first round pick is a valuable asset in transactions. We are trying to build a competitive team already for this year.
Spurs already have some interesting young players in the team, so we can give up on a player like Samanic with strong upside potential but still raw
