:STL: makes this deal to acquire the ace I lost out on when I was priced out on Clevinger.  Severino had some injury issues, but he has been more or less an ace when he is on the mound and he makes a great addition to my staff.  DeSclafani had a bit of a breakout last year and adding him makes up for the addition of Lucchesi in the deal.  I love Garrett Hampson and I hated to deal him, but I'm still not sure what Colorado will do playing time wise and I have been able to add plenty of MI depth thus far this off-season so he was able to be moved for the upgrade on the mound.  Mazara could also be a breakout candidate with the move to :CHW: but with Robert signing the extension I had the depth to move Mazara as well.  Oneil Cruz is a favorite of mine, (Who doesn't love a 6'7" shortstop?) so adding a nice high upside prospect solidified the deal for me.  Thanks and good luck to :BAL:

Orioles accept, I am moving on from Severino, who can be great but is frustrating due to injuries.  Lucchesi should more than replace desclafani and Mazara bolsters my outfield.  Hampson is another great young talent that I am excited to add to my team.  This trade opens me up a bit to get another big signing in free agency. Parting with severino is difficult but for the injury risk its nice the clear up the spot for another top young arm.
