Management in Cincinnati has decided to extend Jesus Montero for 5 years, starting in 2013, for 4 million a year.
Locking him up for $4m from 2013 to 2017.
We view Montero as a foundation piece and the future face of the franchise.
This extension is reliant on the trade from earlier today getting passed.
