Title: Reds/Nats deal
Post by: Dan Wood on October 15, 2011, 02:14:36 PM

Cincy gets
P Cobb, Alex, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI Olt, Mike, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Nats Get
C Thole, Josh, $1.5m (2013)

I'm dealing from a surplus to get some needed pitching. Thole scores very well in this league, and is a personal favorite of mine. With Montero in the mix, his services are no longer needed. Cobb is a pitcher I like, and Olt has shown some potential to be the future 1B of the Rangers. Jake to confirm.

Nationals confirm.  My team simply did not have a catcher for next season, and Thole appears to have been a top 25 catcher last season.  Good enough for me.  Thanks Dan.
