Title: More Cub droppings
Post by: bridgestone on March 09, 2010, 11:44:13 AM
It looks like I need to drop two more.  This is a tough pill to swallow.  I think I made my mistakes in getting rid of the big Cub contracts at the onset, but the new direction of the franchise is going to a fountain of youth, so here it goes...

DROP CI Hafner, Travis, $14.5m (2012)
Cap hits of $13m (2010), $8.5m (2011), and $4.5m (2012)

DROP RP Farnsworth, Kyle, $4.5m (2011)
Cap hits of $4m (2010), $2.5m (2011)

This saves me $2m this year and frees up headaches that I acquired in order to get rid of bigger headaches.  The future of the Cubs looks bright.

Processed... and yes, a very good title.
