Title: Cubs GM Position Filled
Post by: Colby on October 14, 2009, 09:29:07 AM

As you may already have noticed, we have a new GM just in time for RS.  Everybody, please welcome the new Cubs GM, Mike Bridgestone (bridgestone).  He brings a couple years of experience, is a fan of a few teams including the Cubs, and wants a challenge (and probably a chance to right the Cubs ship!).

Thank you!  New ownership (no more Trib), new GM, and new players WILL fix the Cubs!  :soapbox:

The Cubs are bad but were never as bad in a 17-year stretch that the Pirates are in.

I'm excited for the banter in 2010 for the NL Central between Mike, Ben, and I.  The Reds and Cards are open and the newest Astros GM has been fairly silent, so it remains to be seen what the division will look like!
