Title: Trade: Astros/Rays
Post by: Brent on February 17, 2019, 01:36:05 PM

Astros and Rays agree on the following trade.  The Astros move the current MLB MVP to get pieces for their future run.  My timeline is in the 2021 range based on the roster I took over and moving Yelich for future pieces is key to that plan.  Thank Joe for the negotiations.  Rays to confirm.

Astros Trade:
OF Christian Yelich $7.0M (2019)
Astros pay $3.5M

For

Rays Trade:
SS - Royce Lewis - MIN
OF - Jarred Kelenic - SEA
SP - Ian Anderson - ATL
Draft picks Rounds 8 - 15.

Tampa Bay Rays confirm. We land the best outfielder in baseball not named Trout. Knew it would be costly. Yelich just missed the triple-crown last year, we expect those numbers for the next 5 seasons, alleviating the loss of the farm pieces. Good luck Brent.

Good job getting the mega haul you were looking for Brent. Houston’s gonna be back to having an insane farm system before long.
