:STL: makes this trade to continue to push my rebuild. In this trade I am able to acquire 7 prospects, to include a top 100 arm, 2 former first round picks, 2 2018 draftee's that were paid like first round picks, a top 30 organizational middle infielder and a potential future high leverage reliever. As well as acquiring a starting middle infielder, which are always in demand in a league like this. Yes, I take on some dead contracts to make the deal happen, but they all have 1 year left on them and will be off the books next year, when I am much more ready to compete for a championship and will be looking to spend much more in free agency. It was tough to see a few of these guys go like Pearson, McClanahan, and Kloffenstein but that's the price you pay to fix a train wreck of an organization that I acquired. Chapman and Kershaw are not young but 31 isn't exactly old either, so hopefully I'll be able to to build around them and get a championship caliber team built
