LAA trade:
OF Guillermo Heredia $782,000, ARB (2021)
SP Jon Lester $13,250,000 (2021)
-8.25m paid on Lester this year only
Current rookie draft pick 6.24
Brewers trade:
OF Luis Matos
SS Juan Guerrero
OF Julio Pablo Martinez
Current rookie draft pick 7.28
Moving some specs to add a cheap OF and veteran SP. At only a 5m cap hit this year Lester is probably better value than anything I can get in FA. Tough to move Pablo Martinez as I just got him recently and think he has star potential but team is still built to win now so making the move. I also got my eyes on 1 guy in the rookie draft and not sure he will make it 7.28 so gives me a little better chance to get him with the 1 round upgrade.

Angels confirm.
Tough to move Lester as I’m also a team built to win now but the 5M savings can hopefully be redirected to positions I’m short on as I already am pretty set with SP. I’m also a bit nervous with Lester’s age and salary the next couple years so I’m okay getting rid of him a year too early rather than a year too late in case he declines. Getting Martinez is good as I think there’s potential for him to take the next step to being a high end prospect. Getting the other J2 kids are some nice lotto tickets since I missed out on the J2 rush earlier this year.
Thanks to Vik for good and fair negotiations :toast:
