Title: Trade: Brewers/White Sox
Post by: Brent on January 13, 2019, 09:57:31 PM

The White Sox and Brewers agree on the following trade.  The White Sox do this trade to address a position of need with Pinder who I really like and acquire another player I like in Cave.  I take on all of Santana's contract which gives the Brewers some relief.  I'm giving up some spec value in Martinez and potential decent pitchers in Banda, Heller and Kennedy, but to get Pinder and Cave, I feel it is worth it.  Thanks for the talks Vik.  Brewers to confirm.

Accept. I had no plans to move Cave or Pinder but getting the cap relief on Santana to use for FA is key for me. Add in the high upside in Martinez plus some intriguing pitchers this deal makes sense and overall think both teams benefit nicely here.
